Formation fee

Clear pricing for a standard UK limited company

A fixed fee for guided formation with human review. Identity checks are optional if you need them.

£150 fixed fee

  • Application review by Intrachartered
  • Preparation of standard incorporation documents
  • Companies House filing once payment and checks are complete
  • Plain-English next-step guidance after incorporation

Submitting the application does not take payment and does not register the company. We invoice after review.

How it works

From name check to incorporation.

  1. Check your proposed company name

Search Companies House from this page for similar names and obvious clashes. This does not reserve a name — Companies House decides when we file.

  2. Complete the guided application

Work through short steps covering company details, directors, shareholders and persons with significant control (PSCs).

  3. We review your information

Our team checks your submission, helps confirm SIC codes, and follows up if anything is missing or unclear.

  4. We email your invoice and payment details

No payment is taken during the application. After review we email an invoice with payment instructions.

  5. We complete the filing once everything is received

When payment, identity checks and any personal codes are in place, we file with Companies House and send your documents.

Submitting an application does not register your company or take payment. A human reviews your details before anything is filed.

FAQs

Common questions about forming a UK company

Does submitting this form create my company?
No. It sends your details to Intrachartered for review. We do not file with Companies House until we have checked the information, agreed the fee, and received payment plus any required identity checks.
Is payment taken on this page?
No. You submit the application first. After review we email an invoice and payment instructions.
How much does formation cost?
Our standard private limited company formation fee is £150. Identity verification, if needed, is charged separately at £50 for UK residents and £100 for non-residents, per person.
Can I form a company if I live outside the UK?
Yes. Non-UK residents can form a UK limited company. You will still need a UK registered office address, and identity checks may take a little longer.
What is a SIC code?
It is a short code that describes what the company does. You can suggest one, or describe the business in plain English and we will help choose suitable codes.
Can one person be the only director and shareholder?
Yes. Many small companies start with one person holding both roles. A company secretary is optional for private limited companies.
How are identity checks handled?
We do not collect passports or proof of address through this website. Where needed, identity checks are completed through Veriphy, our secure verification partner, and through the official Companies House routes.
How long does incorporation take?
Timing depends on how quickly we receive clear information, payment and any identity checks. Once ready to file, online Companies House processing is often completed within one working day.
